Today the weather was hot and humid with an overcast sky in Fort Lauderdale.
I started the day off at the Federal Court House at: 299 East Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was joined by Chris and Greg who have become as much a part of the landscape as I have.
We handed out brochures at the Federal Court House up to 11am, then we took an early lunch.
At around 11:45am, we headed into town and while offering the brochure to passers-by, asked “Would you like to know your Jury Rights, this is information that the Judge may not tell you?” Amazingly enough, people accept the brochure and as they are walking, they start to read it straight away.
The next stop was Broward Community College / FAU. I stopped by to see Susan Hawk, who agreed that she would place the FIJA brochures in the student room. I left Ms. Hawk with about 50 brochures, before heading to the Broward County Court House at: SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Outside the college we stood and handed out brochures to students, we talked and explained to some what the brochures were about.
At the Fort Lauderdale County Courthouse it was busy as usual. Here I was approached by a public defender who I had handed a brochure to earlier. He told me that the information was good and that it is great that someone like me is out there educating people on Jury Nullification.
Today a total of approximately 580 brochures were distributed. My thanks go out to Chris and Greg for helping distribute brochures and educating the people of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, Thank you guys!
Tomorrow Wednesday, September 1, 2010. I will be driving 70 miles to West Palm Beach, to attempt to re-ignite the FIJA passion and fire in a FIJA activist from the 90’s. – Stay tuned!
