Reading FIJA brochure outside Florida Atlantic University

Female reading FIJA brochure outside county courthouse

Thursday, November 18, 2010 Greg and I met up again at the Federal Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to distribute Fully Informed Jury Association (FIJA) brochures.
More people now seem to except the brochure than before. I don’t know if its because we are stood in front of the courthouse and the logic is: if the security at the courthouse is letting them do it, then the brochures must be okay, or what?

After a few hours, we wondered downtown to FAU (Florida Atlantic University) at: 111 E Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were we passed out brochures to students on their lunch break. Timing is everything here and thats why I always take an early lunch = ) .

An hour or so later and we are off to the county courthouse on: SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This courthouse is always busy with lines down the street, its like there is a sale on or something lol.

I tried to interview today, but had a few difficulties, human and technical. Don’t worry we will get it done.

Another great day in Fort Lauderdale, approximately 600 brochures distributed today.

I encourage you all reading this to get out in your community; even if it is for just a few hours a month, come together and encourage others, because its only a matter of time before someone you know is accused of a crime. Wouldn’t you want a fully informed juror on that case, so that they could judge the law and set that person free?
